The Beginning
Practice Administrators Forum (PAF) was formed.
2015
First Meeting
First public meeting held with members in Lagos, Nigeria.

Name Change
Changed to Association of Law Firm Administrators Nigeria (ALAN)

Our Strategic Goals
Our goal is to position ALAN as the leader in the management of the business of law. Over the next ten years, ALAN will focus on the following five strategic goals:
- Build Community and Engagement:
ALAN members and business partners have identified networking and community as the most valuable benefits of their involvement in the organization. Collaboration has been very fundamental to ALAN since its inception and building on that strong foundation is essential to our continued long-term success.
- Enhance Industry Thought Leadership:
Leadership in the business of law requires that ALAN take an active role in addressing key issues facing the profession and advance positions to elevate the critical role legal management professionals play in the industry.
- Advance Legal Management Professional Development:
In order to address the increasingly complex challenges facing legal management professionals, ALAN shall develop educational programs, resources and networking opportunities so as to provide them with the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed.
- Define Our Identity:
As the legal management profession evolves in Nigeria, ALAN will clearly define its role and leadership in the industry, by establishing and communicating a compelling identity which is essential to its long-term vision.
- Increase Member and Business Partner Value:
ALAN must continue to build and enhance its reputation for value. To become the legal industry’s Trusted Business Advisor, ALAN will focus on delivering essential resources, knowledge and networking to its members and business partners.
